iOS 4.3 Beta Multitasking Gestures Demonstrated On iPhone [video]

iPhone 3GS running IOS 4.3b1 with multitasking gestures and lock/mute switch from iPad 4.3b1

One of the new features uncovered in iOS 4.3 beta was multitouch gestures for multitasking, which can be very useful on the iPad while, on an iPhone, sounded like a bit of a handful. Now we have some video evidence, with Antoni Nygaard managing to get them working on his iPhone, along with the lock/mute switch toggle as well. Given these multitouch gestures aren’t coming to the iPad (yet) we’re guessing it won’t be hitting the iPhone either, but we can always hope.

Take a look at the iPhone multitouch gestures in action, after the jump…

iOS 4.3 Beta 1 Suggests New iPhone And iPad Models. Apple Might Remove The Home Button On Gen Devices

We get some crazy news today. Apple might remove the home button on the next gen iPhone and iPad and iOS 4.3 reveals new iPhone and iPad models.

Apple pushed iOS 4.3 beta 1 yesterday, and today Engadget reports that if you dig far enough into iOS’s code, you’ll eventually come across iPhone3,1, which is the AT&T iPhone 4, and the analogous iPhone3,2 (i.e. Verizon iPhone). It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, but then along comes iOS 4.3 with a handful of new mystery identifiers to spurn speculation — namely, two new-generation iPhones (4,1 and 4,2) and three iPads (2,1; 2,2; and 2,3). Speculate all you want, but there isn’t much else at all we can say definitively here, but if we had to take a guess, it’s the GSM and CDMA variants of the next-gen models (plus a WiFi-only iPad).

How Would You Like A 24″ iPhone?

Running iPod / iPhone OS on Mac Pro + 24″ multitouch

Well, would you like something like this? I would…There are plenty of external third party multitouch screen add-ons, and not to mention the many possibilities of hacking the internal screen. In response to those calling it fake because of the speed, if your running the OS emulator, epically on a Mac Pro with all of its processing power it’s only natural that the OS would run very fast!! It might not be plugged in via video output on the iPod because of such a HQ picture and i dont know about the accelerometer , but this is sooooo wicked….
