What Apple Needs To Do With iPhone OS 4.0 And iPhone 4G To Minimize The Droid Competition

Steve’s best moments might just passed him, and now other companies discovered Apple’s Achilles heel and they are targeting Apple from every direction. Meet Droid…

You know how it goes : Apple never asks if you need something, they just create it and they make you realize that it is the product you’ve been waiting all your life to own. And that is not a problem, because uncle Steve is a brilliant visionary and 99% of the time he knew exactly what to create. The problem is that Steve’s best moments might just passed him, and now other companies discovered Apple’s Achilles heel and they are targeting Apple from every direction. Meet Droid…

Nexus One Sold 20,000 Units In First Week. iPhone 3GS Sold 1.6 million

Flurry also estimates that iPhone 3Gs sold 1.6 million units in its opening week, which basic second grade math tells us that it outsold Google’s Nexus One by 80 times.

Since back in November we’ve talked about Droid’s sales in the first week, we think it is only fair to talk about the latest major iPhone competitor: Nexus One. Palm Pre , Motorola Droid and Nexus One… the only 3 major iPhone competitors and none of them got even close to iPhone sales in the first week.

Flurry estimates that Google sold around 20,000 units in the first week , being outnumbered by Motorola Droid as well with 250,000 units in the first week.

Final Spec Comparison Chart : iPhone 3Gs vs Palm Pre vs Motorola Droid vs Nexus One

if you are confused about which phone suits you best, this is chart is exactly what you need.

Yesterday, we presented you a side by side specs comparison of the top smart phones on the market. At that time, Google’s Nexus One specs were only based on some leaks, but today was the big day, when Google finally had the conference and presented their baby. ( as a side info, the conference was boring, couldn’t even watch the live stream. The phone is a cool phone, i want one sure, but not impressive at all. I expected more from Google ). Anyway, if you are confused about which phone suits you best, this is chart is exactly what you need.

Side By Side Specs: iPhone, Nexus One and Motorola Droid

Ever since the iPhone crushed all the dreams in the industry, all you can hear is about the (next) “iPhone killer” . There was the Palm Pre which died before its time. They tried to spice things up with Palm Pixi but, they kinda went backwards. At the moment the iPhone has two real competitors : Motorola Droid and Google’s Nexus One. The real real hype is built around the Nexus One , and since the specs of the phone are leaked, the dudes at iSmahphone created a full spec list of the phones. This list speaks for itself, but it makes me really curious about the next gen iPhone. Uncle Steve, will you bring us something suitable for 2011 and beyond?

Motorola Droid: There Might Be A Map For That, But There’s No Sales

Verizon had a massive promotion for the Motorola Droid , and after the first weekend the sale numbers were in. Guess what? They couldn’t even match the old iPhone EDGE.

When are you people going to learn. There won’t be an iPhone killer any time soon. Every time a new app phone ( thx David Pogue , FSM prefers this term instead of smartphone ) is announced, everybody goes bananas and call it “the iPhone killer”. Verizon had a massive promotion for the Motorola Droid , and after the first weekend the sale numbers were in. Guess what? They couldn’t even match the old iPhone EDGE.

iPhone vs Motorola Droid: Browser Speed Test [video]

As you can see the iPhone 3Gs is faster when it comes to browsing, but the Droid is more fluid

There is a lot of buzz around the Motorola Droid from Verizon that will hit the market in the next few days. They directly attacked Apple and the iPhone with their ads, and also its suppose to be the ( yet another ) iPhone killer.

iDon’t Care: iPhone’s Answer To Verizon And Motorola Droid

A new ad can be found on the web today, called iDon’t Care, and of course this is in favor of the iPhone.

Yesterday we showed you a anti-iPhone Verizon advertising campaign called iDon’t, which was design to advertise the new Motorola Droid after Apple decided that the iPhone will stay under the guardianship of AT&T. A new ad can be found on the web today, called iDon’t Care, and of course this is in favor of the iPhone.

iDon’t Do What Droid Does

It seems that the negotiations between Apple and Verizon are finalized and the iPhone will stay under the guardianship of AT&T. Verizon on the other hand didn’t just wait for things to happen and they reacted not just against the iPhone but also against AT&T , with two new ads.
