27-Year-Old Macintosh Plus Gets Connected To The Internet [video]

Rocking a 8 MHz CPU, 4 MB RAM, 50 MB hard drive, and 512 x 384 pixel black-and-white screen, engineer Jeff Keacher decided to connect his 27-year-old Macintosh Plus to the internet

Probably hard to tell, but the picture above shows a Mac Plus (in a Mac 512k case) viewing its own Wikipedia page via the ancient MacWeb browser. Rocking a 8 MHz CPU, 4 MB RAM, 50 MB hard drive, and 512 x 384 pixel black-and-white screen, engineer Jeff Keacher decided to connect his 27-year-old Macintosh Plus to the internet using a Raspberry Pi, serial adapters and voltage converters. Original Macintosh Case Signed by Steve Jobs & Co.

Here’s a piece of history: inscribed into the inside rear panel case mold for the 128k, 512k and Mac Plus are the signatures of Steven Jobs, Bill Atkinson, Andy Hertzfeld, Bruce Horn, Jef Raskin and the rest of the historic team.
