OH WOW. I am really excited. Developper fernLightning has finally released Cube. Cube is an open source multiplayer and singleplayer first person shooter game built on an entirely new and very unconventional engine. Cube is a landscape-style engine that pretends to be an indoor FPS engine, which combines very high precision dynamic occlusion culling with a form of geometric mipmapping on the whole world for dynamic LOD for configurable fps & graphic detail on most machines. Uses OpenGL & SDL.

WEB FEEDS – BEST RSS APP FOR YOUR iPhone/iPod


When you got a technological jewel like the iPhone, of course you kinda take at least half of your computer everywhere you go. RSS is part of our everyday life. Everybody is using it. Well it makes it easier for everybody. Instead of going hunting for news, the news are coming to us.

So , since i got my iPhone i found at least 7 or 8 RSS aggregator app for the iPhone. And of course , i didn’t have the patience to try them all. I had installed azRSS which is a decent app , but tonight i found something better. It’s called Web Feeds. I can tell you all the blablabla info about the app that the developers provide, ( you can read that in the itunes link below ).

So , to keep this short and informative…. what this app can do? Well…. :

  • Landscape view
  • Similar to SMS or MAIL , it displays the no. of unread feeds on springboard icon
  • W/Out switching to Safari : summary view or website view
  • Searches for RSS feeds for you with a URL ex: www.funkyspacemonkey.com

BY THE WAY : if we are talking here about RSS , check out the RSS ( orange ) icon on the right side of the screen 😀 😉

Mac or PC:
Files allows you to store and view files on your iPhone or iPod touch. You can connect to Files over Wifi from any Mac or PC and drag and drop files straight from the Finder or Windows Explorer, as you would with any other shared folder.
In fact any client which understands the WebDAV protocol can connect to Files.

Security:
You can secure remote access to your data by setting a username and password. And with guest access enabled, friends on your local Wifi network can browse your “Public” folder.

Viewing Files:
Files supports viewing of many common file types, including most Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents, PDF documents, images, text, html, movie and audio files. Documents and images are all displayed fullscreen, in portrait or landscape mode. Zoom and pan via the standard pinch and swipe gestures.

– Most Microsoft Office document are viewable, including limited support for xml documents (Office 2007).
– Image, movie and audio file support is limited to those formats supported by the iPhone OS.
– Apple iWork documents are not formally supported. However if you zip the document before transferring to Files (e.g. Readme.pages.zip) then it will display correctly.

Bookmarks:
Add bookmarks to longer documents to quickly get at important or often viewed information. And Files remembers where you last stopped reading a document, so that next time you can continue right where you left off.

Managing Files:
Use search to find and filter files easily; and delete unwanted items with a simple swipe and tap. You can even set a disk quota to prevent Files using up too much space on your device.

With Files you can take documents with you wherever your iPhone or iPod touch goes, view them and transfer them easily to any compatible Mac or PC.

Wide WisE-mail is an functional and efficient interface designed for typing faster on a big keypad for writing email and making notes to yourself, enabling you to attach your current location or interest location that closed you.

This application will allow you to write messages using a landscape big keyboard then send messages through the mobile mail. You can also set recipient, cc email address and subject to get the simplest way to email yourself with your location info.
You can find your location and attach the location info into the message. If the location is incorrect, it will allow you to tap the pin to adjust the location on the map or just shake your phone to update map.

**NOTE**

  • Accuracy of the location is depending on certain factors, strength of GPS signal, you are inside or outside and you use 3G iPhone or 2G iPhone or iPod Touch. This application’s location service works best on the iPhone 3G, which has a built-in GPS chipset.
