A new Dutch film called App explores what would happen if the sky caved in and your smartphone turned on you.

A new Dutch film called App explores what would happen if the sky caved in and your smartphone turned on you. Directed by Bobby Boermans, the film tracks psychology student Anna Rijinders, who’s obsessed with all things social media, especially what’s on her smartphone. Eventually she downloads IRIS, a curious app that begins sending cryptic messages—and killing off all her friends.

The Iris App for the iPad finally brings a proper UI and design for an Instagram app onto the table

Following their $1 Billion take-over by Facebook, Instagram is all over the place. That was to be expected. If there is one thing that we still find a little annoying about the stand-out mobile app, it is the fact that you cannot consume the images nicely on the desktop or iPad. Sure, there are a few desktop sites trying to handle it, but they are not very well designed.
