iH8sn0w Updates iReb. Bypass Custom Firmware Restore Errors

Just a quick heads-up: ih8sn0w has just updated iReb for the first time in 10 months. iReb allows you to bypass any errors during restore with a custom firmware. Simple, useful and straight forwards.

New in this version:

Much smaller file size (390kb).
Fixed USB 3.0 issues.
iREB’s speed for the iPhone 2G/iPhone 3G/iPod Touch 1G has increased significantly!
Fixed rare DFU detection issues.
Updated limera1n/steaks4uce payload to not hook “cmd_go” on 4.x images (nothing severe, but useless here).

New version of iReb and sn0wbreeze are now available to download. Both tools are Windows-only.

So , you got an 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603 or 1604 error while trying to restore your iPhone in iTunes with a custom firmware cooked with Pwnagetool or Sn0wbreeze right? Well, there is a tool called iReb ( Windows-only ) that is updated for firmware 3.1.3, works with iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G and iPod touch 1G/2G and will let you bypass this error.

Sneak Peak: New iReb for Windows from iH8sn0w

iH8sn0w is almost done testing the new windows version of his popular software iReb (iTunes recovery error blocker) and has added the new feature of automatically adding the host IP for Saurik’s Cydia restore server. This, adding of the server IP is not as important now, as 3.1.2 is jailbroken, unlocked and signed. But in the future, to preserve to ability to jailbreak and downgrade, you will want to have your SHSH files stored some where.

Sn0wBl0wer Delayed: Tool To Downgrade The iPod Touch 2G Out Of The Box

iH8sn0w is working on a Sn0wbl0wer a tool that will downgrade your out of the box iTouch 2G.

FSMdotCOM was down for about 30 hours, and we have a lot of catching up to do. So let’s not waste any more time… iH8sn0w is working on a Sn0wbl0wer a tool that will downgrade your out of the box iTouch 2G.

According to iH8sn0w, the tool failed the tests on OTB devices. Tool worked find on his iTouch, but his device was an older model. Seems that updated devices, patch the arm7 exploit, by not accept 2.1.1 ibss files.

So I had a few moments to sit and chat with iH8sn0w, the creator of iREB (iTunes Error Bypasser). His tool along with a custom built IPSW, made it possible to jailbreak the 3.1 beta’s.
