Landscape Homescreen Coming To iPhone 4.0? Not Really, Just A Common Bug…

A couple of days ago, 9to5mac ( thx everybody for the heads-up ) presented the screenshot above and asked “Landscape homescreen coming to iPhone 4?” . Well, it might, but if it would be a feature of iPhone OS 4.0, I’m sure Apple would mention it, because let’s face it… is a pretty dumb eyecandy feature that makes everybody go gaga over it.

If you really want this feature, I’m sure Springboard rotator will be update for OS 4.0 …

Jailbroken iPhone 3G Running iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 1 With Multitasking Enabled [video]

OS 4.0 was jailbroken and we all know that. The big surprise here is that this 3G has multitasking enabled.

Although you shouldn’t expect any release before the official iPhone OS 4.0 will be pushed to the masses, DarkMalloc ( remember him? ) posted a new video showing a jailbroken iPhone 3G running OS 4.0 beta 1. Yeah, nothing new so far. OS 4.0 was jailbroken and we all know that. The big surprise here is that this 3G has multitasking enabled.

Remember that, Apple said they didn’t enable multitasking on iPhone 3G because the hardware is not powerful enough. Well, you can enable the function by editing some plist files. Again, do not expect a tool release any time soon. We will keep you up to date. Stay tuned…

Apple Removes Google Button From Safari Keyboard In iPhone OS 4.0

As you can see in the screenshots above, Apple removed the Google button from Safari keyboard and replaced it with a general “Search” button. This might be a small detail but, remember that there were rumors about a possible implementation of Bing – Microsoft’s search engine.

The interesting thing is that nobody noticed this change, except iLounge , which makes you wonder how many users actually give a f*@k about the default search engine on their iDevices…
