This report covers Apple’s “Workflow” patent that is indeed presented as a possible future iPhone OS upgrade consideration.

New day, new Apple patent: a new social workflow that highlights Facebook. Last Wednesday the Business Insider reported that a mobile industry insider confirmed to them that Apple was building Facebook features into iPhone OS 4.Perhaps “Apple’s new hooks into Facebook,” reported Frommer “will make this sync process part of the phone’s operating system and not just a feature of the Facebook app.”

Coincidentally, a recently published Apple patent sheds light on this very subject under the scope of a fuller social networking application concerning various workflows including an “Add Contact” workflow and a “Social Networking” workflow which specifically highlights an exemplary Facebook example. First it was Terry MrGraw that leaked the fact that the ubiquitous annoying tablet will run iPhone OS, now Apple’s own iPhone Developer Program is revealing some interesting things: “Need to update this for the 27th Launch”.

We already told you that Apple will focus on 3 things during todays event: tablet, iPhone OS 4.0 and iLife. Of course those were just some logical rumors, but more and more people around us are talking about iPhone FW 3.2 . Will Apple present 3.2 today? I don’t think so, because such an event that had a tremendous deal of publicity is most definitely not meant for a insignificant iPhone OS update from 3.1 to 3.2 .

iPhone OS 3.0 Coming March 17th

12-iphoneos30

March 17th – remember that date. New iPhone OS is comming out. There are some rumours that iPhone OS 3.0 will allow background apps but there’s no point on jumping to conclusions.

I cant wait to see if Apple learned anything from Palm Pre’s OS in the new OS 3.0 or they will wait untill the new iPhone will come out. Either way , i got a feeling that the new iPhone will be , still, a big dissapointment and Apple wont fix some of the issues and missing features that iPhone users crave for since the 1st gen came out.

We just have to wait and see….
