Windows iPhone Web Simulator

It’s not perfect, but iBBDemo correctly renders Webkit targeted html including the custom -webkit CSS extenstions, effectively giving us a compelling demo/test platform for iPhone Web content from the comfort of a Windows desktop.

A few weeks ago, we talked about iPhoney – a Mac iPhone Web Simulator. Of course there is no real way to emulate the iPhone on Windows machines, but the guys at Blackbaud , released the next best thing. It’s not perfect, but iBBDemo correctly renders Webkit targeted html including the custom -webkit CSS extenstions, effectively giving us a compelling demo/test platform for iPhone Web content from the comfort of a Windows desktop.

Downside is that this simulator was tested only on Windows Vista. If you want to give it a try, you can find more info and download the app here.

iPhoney: Open Source iPhone Web Simulator

What if you are a designer trying to figure out how you baby will look on the iPhone scree? What do you do, adjust a Safari window to be 320×480? How about downloading a free and open source iPhone web simulator?

In a previous article , we told you that this year Adobe will flood the iPhone platform with 2 million Flash developers. Of course that means, that we’ll see more apps than ever, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be an iPhone app. What if its a web app? What if you are a designer trying to figure out how you baby will look on the iPhone scree? What do you do, adjust a Safari window to be 320×480?
