MacRumors received a few pictures of what is claiming to be the back cover of the next gen iPhone.
MacRumors received a few pictures of what is claiming to be the back cover of the next gen iPhone. Text on the back of the claimed shell indicate that it is a 64 GB model, and the first line of small text includes Apple’s traditional “Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China” information. Unfortunately, the images are not of high enough quality to interpret the second line of text, which would contain the model number and FCC and IC ID numbers.
Metadata included with the images indicates that they have passed through Photoshop CS4, with the first two images carrying yesterday’s date while the third carries a date of March 23rd. Real or fake? Only time will tell…
Information about the upcoming 32 GB iPhone and price leaked by a anonymous tipster from AT&T
First T-Mobile Austria and then AT&T “accidently” posted a 32GB iPhone on their websites. But there were no prices available nor pictures of the new devices. Now, an anonymous tipster from AT&T has leaked some rather interesting information. This tip is interesting for a couple reasons. First, AT&T has a site for their customers to trade in their cell phones specifically to upgrade to a BlackBerry – the BlackBerry Bold Trade Up Program. Just select the phone you want to trade in, the BlackBerry model you want from AT&T’s inventory, and you get some real value for your current phone toward the purchase of a shiny new BlackBerry.
Apple is working with OmniVision on 3.2 MP and 5 MP image sensors for the new iPhone coming in June
This rumor started on April 1st, so i thought this was a joke. Really, dont believe anything you read on the net on that day. But it seems that the rumor persists and it seems to be as genuine as it gets.
We know that listening to any form of an Apple rumor — especially those that involve to the iPhone — is akin to an hour long session of water-boarding, but you’re just going to have to take this one on the chin for the sake of the team. It seems that the lovable lads over at DigiTimes have yet to have enough fun with their Apple rumor-mongering and are now reporting that Apple and OmniVision have both signed off on a contract which would have the latter produce 3.2 megapixel image sensors for the upcoming iPhone revamp. In addition to this, the same source is also reporting that a 5 megapixel image sensor is also included in the deal which is not iPhone bound but rather for a different product all together which is slated to launch much later this year, perhaps for that rumored touchscreen netbook or “the other” iPhone. We’ll see…
At least since the new iPhone OS 3.0 was presented , the internet is full of rumours about the final version of the OS and of course about the new iPhone. When they will come out, specs every spicy detail. Some sources were in the past and continue to be right on spot with 99% of the rumors , so the question is : new iPhone coming in June?
By now, it’s pretty clear that a new iPhone is in the works, and could be here as soon as this summer. While Apple made no mention of any new device during its iPhone 3.0 software announcement last week, there has been no shortage of rumors, which have now intensified thanks to elements in the iPhone 3.0 software code. And now there is more gas to add to the next-generation iPhone rumor, as Boy Genius Report has obtained some specific details, supposedly from AT&T.
The details, which BGR says are “100% confirmed,” include some of the following information:
The new iPhone will be announced in mid-June
It will be faster
There will be a U-Verse iPhone app for controlling AT&T living room equipment
Capability gaps will be filled with the new iPhone
It could contain a higher speed HSDPA wireless data chip, pushing it to 7.2Mbps, as was earlier suggested by MacRumors
While there is nothing hugely shocking there, the big news is the mid-June announcement. While June 8 is the earlier rumored date for a possible iPhone announcement, it’s entirely possible that Apple would do it at another event just after Apple’s Word Wide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) — or that WWDC may in fact be in mid-June.
You can expect a lot more about all of this in the months leading up to June. If AT&T really did leak some of this information, you can be sure that Apple isn’t too happy about it.
