Unlock for iPhone 4 Almost Done, Jailbreak Coming Soon.

Jailbreak for the iPhone 4 coming soon? Now that the unlock is running as a background process, how long will the wait be?

A quick little bit of news this morning, coming from the iPhone Dev team. MuscleNerd has said “all the pieces are in place” meaning they have the unlock running as a background process.Hopefully all they have to do now is package up the new Ultrasn0w. Maybe this means that a new jailbreak tool is also ready for a public release. Is the new Spirit right around the corner? Stay tuned….

A new carrier file has been added to iPhone 4.0 Beta 4, now version 6.2 up from version 6.0,  that has brought back the hopes of native tethering for iPhone users on the AT&T network.( Something every other network has already been enjoying).  Now when going to the network settings in the Settings.app you have a pop up for enabling tethering, and to contact AT&T either via a call or the website.

Going to the web site, and logging into the OLAM(online accounts manager) there are no tethering features yet to add. So next we will have to place a call during business hours…stay tuned for that.

New In iPhone OS 4 Beta 4: Rentals?

No idea what this could be, or if this one its new. We never seen it before, and there no API for it. It could be for movie rentals, and most probably it is aimed at the iPad.
