Steps: Upcoming Task Manager App For iPhone, iPad and Mac [video]

Steps gives you what you need, when you need it. You don’t need to learn a new method. Steps gets out of the way as much as possible. It reminds you of tasks you need to complete in time. Or when you get closer to a place related to this task.

Bootlace: New Utility For Dual-Boot iPhones

Bootlace is an iPhone application which allows configuration of compatible OpeniBoots to modify their behaviour.

Bootlace is an iPhone application which allows configuration of compatible OpeniBoots to modify their behaviour. This includes altering permanent settings such as the default OS that is booted on startup, the timeout before booting and disabling the automatic boot timer. The other major feature is it allows what we call ‘one-shot boots’ to take place. This means tapping Android or Console and having the device reboot directly into the selected option without modifying the default settings of OpeniBoot.

Proof Of Concept: Flash Player On The iPhone Via A MobileSafari Plugin [video]

This is a proof-of-concept project to show it’s possible to create iPhoneOS Safari plugins. The code structure is pretty much exactly the same as a Safari plugin on the desktop except it uses UIView instead of NSView.

The code structure is pretty much exactly the same as a Safari plugin on the desktop except it uses UIView instead of NSView.If you build and install this plugin, your browser will report itself Flash capable and show a red dummy view wherever you come across Flash content in any browser using the system WebKit.

Porting Android OS To iPhone 3G Is Coming Along…

We just posted a video tutorial on how to install Android OS on your iPhone 2G, and Planetbeing just updated his blog saying that the port to the iPhone 3G is coming along. This is a picture of an iPhone 3G booting into a BusyBox / Buildroot shell. As you can see, wireless networking is working great. We can also talk to the baseband over the debugging channel. Nothing is released until , they fix the WM8991 codec for it in openiboot and get a new multi-touch driver . After that, we’ll have a working port of Android.

Apple just sent an invite “for a sneak peek of the next generation of iPhone OS software” on April 8 ( 3 days from now ) at 10AM Pacific.

According to Gizmodo, Apple just sent an invite “for a sneak peek of the next generation of iPhone OS software” on April 8 ( 3 days from now ) at 10AM Pacific. They should release the first beta for developers in the same day, and as usual, we will get a first look at iPhone OS 4.0 . We don’t have any further details right now, but we will keep you updated.
