Crocodile Keyboard: Wacky Touchscreen Keyboard

British inventor submited a patent application for a wacky touchscreen keyboard design/

From time to time, you hear of other people than Apple that actually invent something and submit a pentent for their babies. I dont think Apple actually invented something, because for example the iPod was invented in 1979 by Kane Kramer and the iPhone was pretty much “predicted” in 1984 by Nicholas Negroponte (or at least the the touchscreen interface.)

Let’s talk today of another British inventor, who has submitted a patent application for a wacky touchscreen keyboard design which, he claims, could spell the end for accidental key presses.David Baker’s Crocodile Keyboard is so named because its keys are shaped like the reptile’s sharp teeth.

Type Faster On Your iPhone W/ an Optimized On-Screen Qwerty Keyboard

Type faster and with less typos on your iPhone

itypefastr

New day, new goodies found in Cydia. It’s called iTypeFastR and it’s an amazing qwerty keyboard layout for your iPhone or iPod Touch especially if you got a hard time typing.  The idea behind this keyboard layout is brilliant, because they enlarged the most used letters in the English language , which makes you type faster with less typos.Based on one million messages in Twitter, iTypeFastR counted the frequency of used keys to determine the design of the numeric keyboard.

As i said above you can get this via Cydia. Just load Cydia and tap on search or sections. If you are using search, all you need to do is to search for iTypeFastR. It’s on a default repo on cydia, so everybody should have no problems finding it. If you are using Sections, scroll down to Kyeboards and look for iTypeFastR . Now all you need to do is to install it and reboot your device.

You can use this keyboard on any application on your device. All you need to do is to tap on the “globe” key to switch your keyboard layout. Users can try it for free for 20 days, and then buy the app for only $3.99.

Five Row QWERTY Keyboard For iPhone

A couple of days/weeks ago ( don’t remember ) the 5 rows springboard was released in Cydia. To tell you the truth , IT IS HORRIBLE. Everything is too damn squashed in. I dont like it at all. But today i found something that i really like and that is really really useful ( to me at least ). The 5 rows keyboard. Basically you will have the numbers and letters all together and you dont have to switch between them and loose precious time.

HOW TO GET IT ?

  • Load Cydia
  • Search for 5-row QWERTY Keyboard (BigBoss)
  • Install it
  • Voila

HOW TO USE IT ?

Well , let’s say you want to write an email. All you have to do is to tap the command button and you will switch to the 5 rows keyboard. Simple as that. To switch back to the default keyboard, tap the command button again. It doesent look great, but it is very useful .
