Cerebro: Track Your iPhone Anywhere In The World

New day, new app in Cydia: Cerebro. Cerebro is developer Chris Alvares’s (now with Upscale River) creation which allows you to track your iPhone’s location from any internet enabled device along with a few other cool features.

My first impression of Cerebro was, well for one it works and it works well, and second, it’s highly customizable. Through their website you can customize a variety of settings such as GPS Interval and GPS Minimum Precision amongst other aspects of the app.

iGo My Way: First Look At The New iPhone Navigation Software

A cool feature of iGo My Way will be that it will allow you to view the building in 3D and the graphics of the various menus is simple, colorful and essential. It seems that the price will be not to spicy as well ( or at least lower than TomTom announced )

My guess is that, since WWDC 09, most of you are waiting for TomTom or at least any other navigation software.

Well TomTom announced some cool features and accessories for their iPhone debut, but it seems that another software will arrive to the mighty appstore before TomTom does, and its called: iGo My Way.

GPS-Assisted FM Transmitter with iPhone App Announced by Belkin

Today, Belkin introduced its new TuneCast Auto Live FM transmitter and ClearScan Live software application, which lets iPhone and iPod Touch owners easily operate their FM transmitter and locate the best radio frequency to play music in the car. ClearScan Live allows the iPhone to display the FM frequency and the controls on its screen. This hardware-software combination is the first to utilize an iPhone application to control FM transmission and utilize GPS coordinates to determine the clearest FM frequency at the user’s location.

TuneCast Auto Live capitalizes on the ability of iPhone OS 3.0 to enable application control of hardware accessories, with ClearScan Live as the first application to interact with an iPhone FM transmitter accessory. Together, the Belkin hardware and software provide a powerful tool for people to easily control and listen to their music in their cars.

This is AnthonyKash from TheNovus.net and are we all ready for some upcoming GREAT news for our iPhones? Shit I know I am and have been waiting for this one for a really long time. Have you ever been driving and using your iPhone as your GPS system? Seems like it’s missing something…maybe voice out loud turn by turn directions? Ya I wondered where they were to, you know those jerk off’s over at Apple just left it out for us to bitch about. Well here we go the new xGPS 1.2 rumored to be out by the end of the month fills this HUGE gap. NO I’m not a beta tester, but I know a few of them and they say it’s legit. I man damn real voice out loud turn by turn directions who could ask for more. This one has been a long time in coming and I can’t wait. Oh ya did I mention that this app is freaking FREE, I mean it can’t get any better. xGPS has always been my default GPS app I have used just for the sole feature that it lets you download regions of map’s to be used in case you lose your data connection. With the 1.2 release a bunch of bugs have been fixed but I’m not going to waste time listing them all I really care about and all you probably care about is that we’re finally getting a nice voice out loud turn by turn nav system for our iPHones. xGPS is available on the modmyi repo via Cydia, just put apt.modmyi.com into your Cydia sources if you don’t already have it. To stay updated check back here at FSMdotCOM where Murda always has the latest updates or check out the xGPS blog here at http://xgpsdev.xwaves.net/.

GPS ON YOUR 1st GEN iPhone

Finally after all the wait Orange Gadgets is preparing to release the first GPS plug-in for the first gen iPhone.
Included with the GPS module is a 6ft USB-A to micro USB-B cable for on-the-go or at home charging. With this cable you will be able to charge your iPhone or iPod touch while the module is plugged into your handheld device. A suitable USB car charger, USB wall charger or USB desktop/laptop port is required for this functionality (not included). The cable and the GPS device come together for the price of $75 + shipping.

It appears the GPS module will communicate with a 3rd party app along with google maps if the images on their site are any indication. It is currently not clear whether or not you need to have a jailbroken phone to use the GPS module but if I were to take a shot in the dark I’d say probably yes.
