Apple opened a new section in the app store called ‘try before you buy’. Actually it is a subsection of the ‘Free’ section, and it promotes many of the popular “free” or “lite” editions of apps.

with the new Retina Display introduced by Apple with the new iPhone 4, devs will have much more to work with in therms of UI and the apps will nearly be fullscreen on the iPad.

We told you how to make iPhone apps iPad compatible ( the manual way ) and we also told you about a Cydia app that will force iPhone apps to go full screen on the iPad. Even so, both methods will only get you drunk with cold water. If you double the size of apps, the touch zones are redrawn in all the wrong places and some apps might not even render or just crash…

Google: Mobile App Search Results For iPhone And Android Users

As of today, if you go to Google.com on your iPhone or Android-powered devices and search for an app, you’ll get special links and content at the top of the search results.

As of today, if you go to Google.com on your iPhone or Android-powered devices and search for an app, you’ll get special links and content at the top of the search results. You can tap these links to go directly to the app’s Android Market or iPhone App Store page. You can also get a quick look at some of the app’s basic details including the price, rating, and publisher. These results will appear when your search pertains to a mobile application and relevant, well-rated apps are found.

Mobile app search results are available in the U.S. today, and other countries planned for the future.

Apple Crushing The Charts With Over 130,000 More Apps Than Android Marketplace

There was no doubt that Apple is crushing their competition in volume of apps available. Google’s Android is performing the best out of Apple’s competition.

Today, Silicon Alley Insider posted a new chart, which ranks all four major smartphone providers according to how many apps they have available on their marketplaces. There was no doubt that Apple is crushing their competition in volume of apps available. Google’s Android is performing the best out of Apple’s competition. They managed to get 6x more apps in their marketplace in the last nine months ( Apple multiplied their offer by 3.5x in the last 9 months ).
