During today’s keynote, Apple has announced the new prices for the rest of the iPhone line, killing the 3GS.
During today’s keynote, Apple has announced the new prices for the rest of the iPhone line, killing the 3GS. The 8GB iPhone 4 is now offered for free on a two-year contract, while the iPhone 4S 16GB is only $99. With these new prices and the 3GS not being available anymore, Apple makes its entire line of smartphones GSM and CDMA ready which should result in a avalanche of new users.
Just a quick heads-up: the iPhone DevTeam has updated redsn0w to v0.9.10b5c to fix some issues with the iPhone 3G and 3Gs and prevents redsn0w from crashing due to the ever-growing ramdisk size.

That was fast. Just hours after word began to spread that Apple was forced to pull most of its 3G devices from its German online store following an injunction awarded to Motorola, the iPhone maker successfully had the ruling suspended and has recommenced sales.

Last week we informed you of a case in which Apple faced Samsung over patent issues relating to the 3G connection implemented within the iPhone and 3G iPad devices. These issues between Apple and Samsung have spanned over the past several weeks and are sure to persist for the next few weeks too.
This week, the Cupertino company has been forced to remove the iPhone 3G[s], iPhone 4, and iPad 3G products from its online store. The news comes from Florian Mueller over at FOSSpatents after he attended a hearing which saw Motorola beat Apple in hotly-contested court proceedings.

The anniversary version of Camera Plus Pro introduces a feature called “Soft Flash”. Now, the user can use the flash feature as it is being used by high-end devices – live and real time.

Apple has just released iOS 5.1 beta 2 to developers
Just a quick heads-up: Apple has just released iOS 5.1 beta 2 to developers. The new beta enables individual picture deletion from Photo Stream ( see here how to stop iOS screenshots from ending up in your iCloud Photo Stream ), but there’s no word if Apple finally fixed the battery issues.
As usual, we advise jail breakers and unlockers to stay away from this beta update

Apple has gone a long way from January 9, 2007 when the first iPhone was officially announced. Only four iPhone models have been unveiled thus far, each of which was a smashing hit for the company. We have no doubts that, the iPhone 5 will repeat the success even though it faces some tough competition.
