Just a quick heads-up: Apple has just released iOS 5.0.1 for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch to the public. This update contains improvements and other bug fixes including:

  • Fixes bugs affecting battery life
  • Adds Multitasking Gestures for original iPad
  • Resolves bugs with Documents in the Cloud
  • Improves voice recognition for Australian users using dictation

Apple Releases iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2

Today, Apple dropped iOS 5.0.1 beta 2 and devs can get it in the Dev Center or as an over-the-air update on devices running iOS 5.0.1 beta 1

A couple of days ago, Apple released iOS 5.0.1 beta 1 to developers which fixed battery life issues, added multitasking gestures to the original iPad and other bugs and security fixes. Today, Apple dropped iOS 5.0.1 beta 2 and devs can get it in the Dev Center or as an over-the-air update on devices running iOS 5.0.1 beta 1

Apple just dropped iOS 5.0.1 to developers. It’s just an incremental update which aims to fix most bugs that iOS 5.0 has brought.
