Apple Releases Its ‘iOS Human Interface Guidelines’ on iBooks

Apple has published its iOS Human Interface Guidelines to iBooks.

Apple has published its iOS Human Interface Guidelines to iBooks. The iBook contains recommendations and suggestions for creating a superlative user experience that’s founded on Apple’s design principles and guidelines. So far, the iOS 7 guidelines were offered via the Developer portal but now the iOS Human Interface Guidelines are available for free via the iBooks store.

Apple Updates iBooks and iTunes U With iOS 7 UI

Apple updated today its iBooks and iTunes U apps, both apps ditching the skeuomorphic UI and adopting iOS 7’s look.

The icons of the apps have been updated as well, iBooks’ icon showing an orange gradient background behind a white illustration of an open book while iTunes U’s icon features a graduate’s cap as the centerpiece of its logo and the same orange gradient background.

iBooks is available as an universal app ( iPhone and iPad ) on the App StoreiTunes U is available as an universal app ( iPhone and iPad ) on the App Store.

The U.S. Justice Department has accused Apple and two popular publishers, Macmillan and Penguin, of fixing prices of digital books to detrement Amazon’s dominance in the eBook industry. The antitrust lawsuit, filed in Manhattan and supervised by District Judge Denise Cote (pretrial), also accused three other publishers who have since settled their cases in the matter.
