As a part of a new promotion, Apple will begin making apps chosen as the “App of the Week” free for download in the App Store. The first app to get the honor of being subsidized by Apple is a game called Cut the Rope: Experiments, which you can download now, free.

This has been sitting in our email inbox for a couple of days now, but we didn’t bother to check it because it said ‘free apps’ and ‘no jailbreak’. So what’s the catch? There’s no catch really. You need to download free sponsored apps, and you will get credits for them. Then you can use those credits to download ‘premium’ apps.
Apple opened a new section in the app store called ‘try before you buy’. Actually it is a subsection of the ‘Free’ section, and it promotes many of the popular “free” or “lite” editions of apps.
