Yesterday was the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, the longest running science fiction TV show in history. To celebrate this occasion, BBC has released a 50th anniversary episode that was simulcast across TV and movie theater screens worldwide. The episode was watched by 10.61 million viewers and set a Guinness World Record for “the world’s largest ever simulcast of a TV drama”.

BBC today announced the release of two sets of lost episodes from the hit show Doctor Who, which it is currently exclusively selling on iTunes.
BBC today announced the release of two sets of lost episodes from the hit show Doctor Who, which it is currently exclusively selling on iTunes. A first set, titled The Enemy of the World ( 6 new episodes + trailer ) and a second set titled The Web of Fear ( 6 episodes ) have been digitally remastered after they were found in Nigeria, Africa earlier this year, and will remain on the iTunes Store until a DVD release later this year.
