HOW TO: Fix FaceTime And No Cellular Data After Jailbreaking iOS 4.1

with all this iOS 4.1 jailbreaking tools, everybody should be happy right? Well, that’s what we thought too, but it seems that a lot of you can’t activate FaceTime and get no cellular data connection. Let’s fix it….

Now we got all the tools we need to jailbreak iOS 4.1. We have greenpois0n ( Mac, Windows and Linux ) , Limera1n ( Mac and Windows ) and PwnageTool ( Mac ). We also have redsn0w [Mac and Windows] for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G running iOS 4.1. So everybody should be happy right? Well, that’s what we thought too, but it seems that a lot of you can’t activate FaceTime and get no cellular data connection.

As far as we can tell, this only happens if you use ultrasn0w to unlock your iPhones, but luckily, there’s an easy fix for it. So let’s get to it…

Apple Increased The Size Of Apps That Can Be Downloaded Over 3G To 20 MB

Apple decided to double the size of applications that can be downloaded over 3G or cellular data to 20 MB. Before, you could download apps from the appstore over 3G only if the size of the app was 10 MB or less or use a WiFi connection or your computer.

Apple decided to double the size of applications that can be downloaded over 3G or cellular data to 20 MB, according to PocketGamer. Before, you could download apps from the appstore over 3G only if the size of the app was 10 MB or less or use a WiFi connection or your computer.

Of course for us, the users, this is not such a big difference. But this benefits developers that can do so much more and sleep peacefully at night knowing that their app can be downloaded even by users that for some reason have no idea what a WiFi connection is. This could also mean that Apple is paving the road for the iPad….
