A Userland Jailbreak For iPhone 3Gs With New Bootrom To Drop After iOS 4.2 Is Released

Luckily, the Chronic DevTeam is not the only one working on a jailbreaking tool at the moment, and a userland jailbreak for iPhone 3Gs ( new bootrom ) will be released, but only after Apple will drop iOS 4.2 scheduled for next month.

Yesterday, we told you that greenpois0n – the first jailbreaking tool that will use the SHAtter exploit – will be released on Sunday. Unfortunately, the tool will only work on devices with an A4 chip ; so basically you can use it only if you have an  iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch 4 and AppleTV 2G.

FSM Week In Review: 27/09/2010 – 01/10/2010

This past week was full of app updates ( both app store and Cydia ), got some fresh accessories, and also some jailbreaking news. Perhaps after this past week, Steve Jobs should be worried. Very worried. Because while it is no longer alone in the tablet market, its cellular competitor, Blackberry, has announced its new tablet, the Blackberry PlayBook, which proves to be a strong contender in the market currently dominated by Apple.

This past week was full of app updates ( both app store and Cydia ), got some fresh accessories, and also some jailbreaking news. Perhaps after this past week, Steve Jobs should be worried. Very worried. Because while it is no longer alone in the tablet market, its cellular competitor, Blackberry, has announced its new tablet, the Blackberry PlayBook, which proves to be a strong contender in the market currently dominated by Apple.

As Blackberry RIM’s shared jumped 1.4 percent and the company attempts to scoop up a sizable share of the market, other labels keep up with the weather and continues to steam roll their way through Fall.

Miles outside of Atlanta, there’s a little know secret: Sitting on a secluded screened in porch, plugging away for hours a day, is one of the most well know iPhone hackers: p0sixninja. Lucky for me, I live not to far off, and had the opportunity to go for a visit. Little tip: wanna get in good? Bring presents. I had with me an un-opened, brand new AppleTV. Which at the time was as rare as hens teeth.
