iPad SDK 3.2 Beta 3 Adds Support For Front Facing Camera, Camera Flash, Zoom and Video Conferencing

It seems Apple built in API support to test to see if your iPad had a Front Facing Camera, Zoom and a Camera Flash. The front facing camera would, of course, be used for video chat, while Zoom and Camera Flash are often requested features for the iPhone’s camera.

We told you that one of the hottest thing in the new SDK, update released yesterday, was the presence of the photos.app in the iPad SDK. But boy, how wrong were we? Digging deeper into the code, MacRumors found out that Apple built in API support to test to see if your iPad had a Front Facing Camera, Zoom and a Camera Flash. The front facing camera would, of course, be used for video chat, while Zoom and Camera Flash are often requested features for the iPhone’s camera.

Uncle Jason Spoils Today’s Apple Event With Specific Spec Details About The Tablet

If most of this is true, i will be very impressed about this tablet, and i will buy one for sure. Personally I’m not sold nor blinded by this mystical device. It is a great deal? Sure!!! Am I excited? Not yet!

Jason Calacanis is a person i admire and i have a great deal of respect for. Some of you might know him serial web entrepreneur, founder of Weblogs, Inc., co-founder of TechCrunch50 and CEO of search engine Mahalo (amongst others), and some of you might know him as the guy that told Apple fanboys to go F*** themselves. Calacanis claims he has been given a tablet by Apple ten days ago, adding “For background: apple asked me to do press tomorrow on cnbc, cnn, etc.” and he might just have spoiled today’s event for us.

If some of my senses are not deciving me, it seems that Terry MrGraw has been playing with the Apple already, or at least a prototype. Almost all of the time he was watching the interviewer straight in the eyes. Hesitated a bit because he was probably measured his words very carefully. In our previous article you can see and hear what is like to work for/with Apple and attending an event without knowledge of what your own company is about to release. Some may say it is like working for a terrorist org.
