Apple Updates Frontpage With 50 Billion App Downloads Countdown

Apple has updated their frontpage with a countdown to 50 billion app downloads from the App Store.

Today, Apple has updated their frontpage with a countdown to 50 billion app downloads from the App Store. The countdown was launched last week, when Apple announced that they will give away a $10,000 App Store gift card to the person who downloads the landmark app. In addition to the $10,000 gift card for the 50 billionth app download, Apple will also award a $500 App Store Gift Card to the next 50 customers following the momentous download.

With the new iPhone 4, Apple introduced a new app at WWDC10 called iMovie. The app lets you edit vids and create montages directly on the iPhone.

  • Improved reliability when exporting movies containing photos.
  • Resolved issue with music playback within a project.
  • Additional performance and reliability improvements.

As of today, if you go to Google.com on your iPhone or Android-powered devices and search for an app, you’ll get special links and content at the top of the search results.

As of today, if you go to Google.com on your iPhone or Android-powered devices and search for an app, you’ll get special links and content at the top of the search results. You can tap these links to go directly to the app’s Android Market or iPhone App Store page. You can also get a quick look at some of the app’s basic details including the price, rating, and publisher. These results will appear when your search pertains to a mobile application and relevant, well-rated apps are found.

Mobile app search results are available in the U.S. today, and other countries planned for the future.

Apple decided to give a new look to the app store categories, and they did a great job

Apple decided to give a new look to the app store categories, and they did a great job. Now, single categories look just like the home page of the app store featuring ‘What’s Hot’ and ‘New & Noteworthy’ and top paid and free apps. The biggest changes have been made to the ‘all apps’ section. You can now sort by ‘featured’ and ‘name’, while the whole list has a switch to browse paid/free apps.
