This just in: our AT&T ninja just sent us a picture of a regular old iPhone 3Gs box… or is it? Notice something different about it? That’s right, the one on the right has the GameCenter icon displayed right on the box. That means that iPhone 3Gs comes pre-installed with iOS 4.1 , therefore no jailbreak and no unlock at the moment.
If you’re on the hunt for an unlockable iPhone 3Gs, you should ask your local AT&T stores for old stocks, or maybe just browse for a box without the GameCenter icon on it. We doubt you can do this at the Apple Store, but it’s not always what you know, but who you know. For all of you international folks, same rule apply…
