Yes you read the title correctly, we may soon be able to utilise the most popular office tools on our iPads. Matt Hickey from the popular news desk ‘The Daily’ has received a working prototype of Microsofts oldest suite of software.
Similar in appearance to the OneNote app currently on offer, the UI has a touch of Metro about it and currently offers the ability to edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on the go.
Citing ‘Sources close to the matter’, The Daily also reports that an Android version is not in the works and that the OneNote app will soon be receiving an update to reflect Microsoft’s current Metro design.
While the MS Office for iPad project has since been completed, an exact release date still eludes us however we should expect the bombshell to drop within the next few weeks.
