New day, new app in… apstore:iGizmoz. Appstore again, really?!?! Yeah, iGizmoz brings widgets to your iPhone or iTouch with no jailbreaking requirements which might be great news for some of you. On the downside, you can’t compare iGizmoz with SmartScreen or Cydget which are for jailbroken iDevices only.
You can find the app in the appstore, which means it was approved by Apple, it costs $0.99 and it comes with 11 customizable widgets:
- World clock
- Sticky notes
- Calendar
- Search tool
- Speed dial
- Stopwatch
- Slideshow
- Swinging creature
- Tic tac toe game
- Flashlight
Almost every widget in that list is a major fail , because most of those features you already have on your iPhone in your built-in apps. Yeah, but this are widgets. Well kinda… yea. As you can see in the video, you actually need to open an application to access them, not quite like the widgets for the jailbroken iDevices.
At least this is a step forward, and people that don’t wanna join the “dark side” can be happy about something… or not…
