HTML5 Video Players Closer To A Reality

In the past week we talked about the possibility of switching from the standard Flash player to HTML5. YouTube and Vimeo is already testing the technology and it seems to be happening faster than expected.

Seems that the new technology is not only of interested to major video outlets on the www. Other developers are playing around with HTML5 to test its capabilities. On of those first site is http://jilion.com/sublime/video which runs beautifully on the iPhone as well.

Supported Browsers

  • Safari (v4.0.4+)
  • Google Chrome (v4.0+)
  • Internet Explorer with Chrome Frame installed

Wonder who will be the first to fully adopt the HTML 5 technology….
