Started as a concept by ADR Design, the Polaroid Socialmatic Camera has been confirmed to officially launch at CES 2014 this week. The Android-based Socialmatic takes a two-pronged approach to sharing the images captured with its 14MP front camera and 2MP back camera. Built-in Wi-Fi lets you upload the pics to your favorite social media sites. A built-in ink-less printing system also lets you produce 2×3-inch prints with sticker backings so you can plaster your masterpieces all over the real world as well. We will keep you updated as soon as we have more info. In the meantime check out the concepts from 2012 and 2013 here.
Last year we reported several times about the exciting Instagram Socialmatic Camera concept by ADR Design. As with all concepts, one never knew whether or not the camera would actually see the light of day. With Instagram just crossing the 100 Million active user mark, being more popular than ever, and cameras also being among the most popular tech gadgets, the concept still makes very much sense and will for sure find its fans.
Back in August, we presented the updated design of the all new black version of the Instagram Socialmatic Camera. The design and the functionality have been updated in the meantime, and the camera looks quite a bit slicker than in its first version.
Today ADR Studio, the guys behind the much anticipated camera, have released a first video, giving you a better look at the camera and at how it works.
