In the past we told you about a couple of car concepts that requires an iPhone to start ( Peapod and iChange ) and we also showed you a car totally controlled by the iPhone . Really nice, but all of this are concepts. Not anymore…. Viper SmartStart is a free application available in the Appstore that lets you use your iPhone to:

• Lock/arm
• Unlock/disarm
• Remote car starter
• Trunk release
• Panic or car finder

To benefit of this features you will need to install a kit that is sold only in US for $499. If you already have the Viper SmartStart System , you will only need to install the Viper SmartStart module which costs $299. In addition to all this you will pay a $30/year service plan which is required. For more information, you can check out their official website.
