With iOS 8.4 released today, Apple has launched Apple Music. The service costs $9.99 a month, and brings exactly what you expect: playlists, algorithmically guessed genre spotlights, recommendations by real-life humans ( personally, 99.9% of the time i don’t want you or anybody else to recommend sh*t i *should* listen to… but that’s me ) etc.

The heart of the service, and what I think it will differentiate Apple Music from its competitors is Beats 1, the Trent Reznor conceived 24/7 radio station that will be free to everyone. The hosts of Beats 1 are former Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe along with Ebro Darden of Hot 97 in New York and Julie Adenuga in London. Joining them will be Elton John, Dr Dre, Pharrell, Drake, St. Vincent, Disclosure, Josh Homme and Will Smith’s son Jaden ( really?!?! ).

Sounds interesting right? Well, Apple offers a 3-month free trial so you can enjoy Apple Music and decide if it’s something that you’d want to pay for. But what if, after the free trial, you don’t want to pay 10 bucks a month for Apple Music?

Jump over the break to see how you can prevent Apple for charging your account after the free trial expires.

Apple has released today iOS 8.4, which includes a revamped Music.app and Apple’s on-demand music streaming service, Apple Music.

iOS 8.4 is available right now as an OTA ( over-the-air ) download. Apple Music is located within the Music app and it’s available right away. However, Beats 1 radio service will kick off at 9 AM Pacific Time.

iOS 8.4 also includes the relocation of audiobooks from the Music app to the iBooks app, consolidating all books, print, and audio into one convenient spot, and a new Audiobooks for CarPlay app, giving drivers a standalone app dedicated to playing their audiobooks.
