Now since the shoping season is about to start, or its already happening for some of you, i thought that this app would help you. Fresh Deals is basically a feed of about 10 different deal sites, and by combining them it will bring you the best deal , in one single app.
In the top side of the screen you will find the actual feed that this app will provide for you. You can scroll from left to right, and on the left you will find the freshest items and on the right side you will find the fresh items ( as u can see on the bottom of the screen on the ” fresh meter” ) . What does that mean? Well simple, in the left side you got the newest deals and on the right side you got the , well…. not as new deals.
If you select an item from the feed scroll, you can read more about it, and how to buy it and where to buy it by clicking the More Details button. The sad part is that you can’t buy an item directly fromĀ the phone. But you can press the Email Me button, and it will open up the mail app, where you only have to enter an email address. In the body of the email , Fresh Deals will auto insert info about the item and a link where you will find that item with the best deal.
On the top right corner of the screen you will see a Settings button, When you click on it, you will see all the sites from where Fresh Deals is getting all the feeds from. You can Select All , Deselect All and of course you can choose just the ones you like. The thing is that the names of the feeds are not very descriptive so, i suggest you keep all selected.
This is a really nice app, but it lacks a major thing : CATEGORIES !!!! You will always get a constant feed of random items and that’s not pretty helpfull. Categories would be a big + to this app. Or better yet a Search Feature.
But all in all , this is a good app, especially for this time of year. If you don’t know what to get for someone, or you just want to browse deals this is the app you might want to check out.
