HOWTO

You just bought Not Your Average iPhone Book. Give Your iPhone A (jail)Break, and you’ve got it on your laptop/desktop computer, but it’s no good if you can’t use it when you need it. How are you going to do that? Well, you always have your iPhone with you so, we’re going to show you how. If you have a MobileMe account you’re good to go. Just put it in a folder on your iDisk and sync it up. But what if you don’t have, or don’t want to pay for a MobileMe account? Here’s the free way. Using a free app for your Mac or Windows machine, plus the matching app from the iTunes app store.

First , pay a visit to Dropbox,  and sign up for a free account. It gives you 2 gigs of “cloud” storage space. You can opt to pay for more, but that’s your decision. Download the desktop client for your Mac or Windows machine and go through the set up procedure. Now download and install the free Dropbox iPhone app from iTunes.

Back on your computer just drop your fresh copy of our eBook in which ever of your  Dropbox folders you want.Sign in on your iPhone to the Dropbox app and navigate over to the folder you dropped it and along with a whole bunch of others. And because it’s on dropbox’s servers it doesn’t take up space on your device. And the sync speed is unbelievable. So weather your on EDGE or 3G, you’ll be fine.
