Gmail aims to end e-mail embarrassments. The project or system or what ever you want to call it , it’s for now testing phase and it will be named Google Goggles. Apparently when it will be lunched, Gmail users will be able to turn it on by going to the Gmail menu : Settings - Labs.

Before you will send a email, the system will be asking you a few easy mathematical questions, to “verify” if you really want to send an email, and that you will not regret it later. Jon Perlow , IT specialist @ Gmail, said that he just don’t want to remember the times that he sent emails , while drunk, to a girl telling her that she is pretty, or to an ex-girlfriend asking her to get back.

It’s all good so far, big brother Google just wants to watch us and make sure we are not going to do shit we might regret later, but i see 3 problems here :

1. if the system will not be on by default, without any opportunity for us to turn it off, how could that possibly stop us ?

2. if the math question will be so simple, ( i think something like 39-12 or something like that ), what kind of moron is able to write a whole email to somebody, and wont be able to do a simple math question? or… let’s say your just have a great verbal/writing skills but u suck at math…. uhmmm… Google dude, calculator is just one button away

3.If you ( no matter if you are Jon Perlow ), get drunk and when you get home, u start to send emails to some ex-girlfriend cause you missss herr soooo much boo-hoo and apparently u left your balls at the bar ; or you send a mail to a girl saying she’s pretty cause you, again, couldn’t find your balls to tell her that to her face… well Google, sorry to tell you this, but your effort is worthless. People like this deserves the ” embarrassment “. Next day , they might come to their senses
