Last year Nike confirmed that power laces will arrive this year, and we had a super-realistic hoverboard hoax. When it comes to hoverboards, the future seems to be bright thanks to Hendo Hover( video after the break ) but for right now the best thing we can get our hands on is this Back to the Future desktop hoverboard.
The desktop toy is a replica of Mart McFly’s hoverboard from Back to the Future II, is an inch-and-a-half long and comes with its own track which is powered by 5 high-grade rare earth magnets. Thanks to the shape of the track, you can put the hoverboard in motion ( and stay in motion ) just like a Newton’s cradle.
You can cop your own desktop hoverboard at ThinkGeek for $39.99.
